I'm back

After many of you have told me to update my Blog, I think I am ready to make an attempt at keeping it up to date.

Leaving Waco was both bitter and sweet. I left the greatest group of friends I have ever known, but now I get to be with the woman I love everyday (well almost everyday).

Getting used to NM hasn't been too bad. The weather is always dry and often cool at night and sometimes even in a shady spot during the day. I certainly don't miss the Texas heat and humidity! Last weekend Liz and I went camping with the Greg and Lorene Garcia up to Fenton Lake. We had a great time! (you can check out the pictures at http://community.webshots.com/user/christopher_ellis).

I've gotten a job at Sunset Mesa Daycare. It's certainly not what I thought I would be doing when I graduated with a M.DIV. I'm not sure how long I will be there, but I am very gratefully to have a job with them, and that I've been able to build relationships with the "Rugrats" (my affectionate name for them). While I'm at work (from 10:45-6:00), I watch K-5th graders during their respective recesses, and I watch them in the Daycare center until their parents arrive.

We've haven't found a regular church yet. We did go to a very notable and big church here in town, and Liz and I left saying "oh that was nice." That's about all it was "nice." Not much substance but certainly some style (Marva Dawn would be disappointed).

Well that's enough for now; I look forward to seeing many of you at our wedding!!
